PARADE OF CINEMA AND MUSIC STARS FOR THE ISCHIA GLOBAL FILM & MUSIC FESTIVAL

The appointment with the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival is renewed, the international kermesse expected of the film and audiovisual industry and above all of the young talents that since 2003, in the heart of the summer, involve on the Green Island and in the the entire Gulf of Naples the big screen and showbiz gotha. This year the festival is dedicated to the memory of Carlo Vanzina, master of comedy and Legend Award, with the establishment of the “Premio Carlo Vanzina – Prince of Comedy” awarded to Pio and Amedeo. The award is intended for young artists distinguished during the season who “know how to tell the Italian society, customs, vices and virtues with lightness and intelligence”.

The 16th edition of the festival is chaired by Cheryl Boone Isaacs and producer Andrea Leone (who together with Raffaella Leone and the managers of 01 Distribution, will present the Italian premiere “Sicario: Day of The Soldado” by Stefano Sollima, opening film) . The event, founded and produced by Pascal Vicedomini in association with the Ischia International Art Academy presided over by Giancarlo Carriero, is promoted with the Mibact-Dg Cinema and the Campania Region.

Over 120 personalities who are participating in the summer event, for their themes at the center of global media interest. Actors, musicians, ‘fashion icons’ together with a team of great film producers in the world will discuss the new challenges posed by the contemporary audiovisual market. The appointment is more and more expected among the international players that together with the honorary members of the Ischia Academy, Andrea Iervolino and Lady Monika Bacardi, return annually in the Gulf starting from the Americans Mark and Dorothy Canton, Patrick Wachsberger, Heidi Jo Markel, the English Jeremy Thomas and Alison Owen, the Romanian Bobby Paunescu, the Israeli Avi Lerner, the French Nicolas Chartier. “A Festival different from the usual competitive circuits – underlines Marina Cicogna, co-founder of the kermesse – We do not foresee competitions, but the celebration of talents and the reflections on industry and on human rights”.
