THE LOOK OF THE YEAR, THE WORLD FINAL IN ISCHIA

The models and models chosen by the most important television, fashion and beauty agencies from around the world come from the “The Look of the Year” and “Ischia Fashion Week”, from 10 to 14 October in Ischia, volcanic Jo Squillo aired on Modamania for Mediaset networks and on all the national televisions of the five continents involved in Eventsworld, TMInternational that produces the world event (producer Nuccio Cicirò, general manager Ivana Triolo, director Santo Cicirò, fashion director Antonella Ferrari, press office Freetime).
After the earthquake that occurred in Casamicciola on 21 August, the production of “The look of the Year” completed the works, begun in March, in collaboration with the Ischitan institutions, in particular the assessors Anna Maria Chiariello and Marianna Sasso, respectively Communications Councilor and Logistics and Organizational Services for the City of Ischia, to support and resume, through a series of initiatives, activities in the island and restore a “positive” visibility to the wonderful Green Island. Following the world event in Ischia, many people will come: from workmen, institutions, characters to culture, entertainment, cinema, diplomacy, designers.
The models selected by the best fashion agencies in the world will wear collections of international fashion designers, Haute couture excellence, pret-a-porter, excellence in the “Campania Region”, chosen by fashion director for “The look of the Year “Antonella Ferrari.
The “mission” is the search and promotion of models from the 5 continents; 60 finalists between men and women participate every year at the world finals and this year will be held for the first time at the Sports Hall in Ischia Porto on Saturday, October 14 at 19.30.
The fashion contest will be staged on the calendar of institutional events in the city of Ischia. On the previous day, on Friday, 13 October, will be held a convention entitled “Ischia, the rebirth with excellence” dedicated to the security of the territory, food safety, fashion and wellness, food and excellence in the agri-food sector, tourism and thermalism.
Presidents of the various categories will be present. At the end of the conference, as an acknowledgment of support and solidarity, an institution appointed to represent citizens of the municipality of Casamicciola will be given a “suitcase” symbol of a RI-birth, re-start and reconstruction of a safer future. It will follow dinner with a personalized menu and made with the leading food industry companies that have joined the initiative.
On the 12th day will be Ischia Ponte the set where the finalists will set up for a photo shoot and video that will see them with the wasps of the “Ischia Vespa Club” in S.Giovan Giuseppe Della Croce Street, for the occasion set up with the typical products of our gastronomy.
The Desk will be in the Old Town Baths in Ischia Porto, near the municipality, where ancient valuable precious exhibits will be exhibited and an exhibition of works by the most important island artists will be organized so that the gallery site will be permanent until Christmas.
