APPLE BELIEVES IN CHINA: TIM COOK MEETS MINISTER MIAO WEI AND SEEKS A DEAL WITH CHINA MOBILE

Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO is back in China after 10 months of its last trip: met with Minister of industry and technological innovation Miao Wei to discuss the development of China’s information industry, technology, global mobile communications and Apple’s business in China.
China to Apple is a very important country as it is the leading manufacturer of iPhone and iPad and also one of the most important market. From March 2012, the date of the previous Cook’s voyage, the number of Apple stores in China has doubled but still very low. The most important match is the one with China Mobile, the largest telephone operator in the country, with their Apple doesn’t have an agreement to sell the iPhone. In 2011 Cook visited their headquarters but has never reached an agreement and negotiations are continuing.
