BLACKBERRY NOT INVEST IN CHINA

Normally China is a target expansion for companies looking to break into one of the largest economies in the world. This is to take advantage of the boom in the Chinese economy that, in the past decade, has reinvigorated and not a little the consumer market. With a GDP of 9.24 trillion dollars and a growth of 7.7%, China is an opportunity for any brand internazionale.A this regard we know that in recent weeks the CEO John Chen wanted to make the private talks with Chinese companies to evaluate all the possibilities of entratura in a highly competitive market like China, but by the enormous possibilities.
After having had several conversations and meetings seems that BlackBerry has held back on the possibility of investing in China. In this regard, John Chen stated that:
“It takes too long to get to a reasonable size. Even if I have the time and the money to do it is better ask my attention in the markets where they are already present.”
Therefore it seems that BlackBerry will focus its attention in India and other parts of Southeast Asia. BlackBerry has always emphasized security and data protection, even more these days during the BlackBerry Enterprise Event held in San Francisco. This could also be an obstacle which has slowed investment in China where the local censorship and the likely demand of the Chinese government access to data exchanged between PDAs have little to do with security guarantees BlackBerry.
