CHINA FROM 2015 WEB PLATFORM FOR CAR

From next year the cars in China will be able to ‘talk’ to each other by sharing weather alerts, traffic and route suggestions, thanks to the biggest platform of internet connection, with Cloud system, which is being built by a joint venture between IBM and TransWiseway Information Technology Co.Ltd. Beijing. The collaboration gave birth to the project Internet-IOV vehicles that will connect 1.5 million vehicles by next year to reach 10 million over the next 2-3 years. The platform works with the IOV system ‘Cloud’ and applies an analytical process to data from mobile devices and sensors, transforming them into information that the drivers and the authorities can access via the web or via a mobile application. “We are committed to acquire the advanced technologies of mobile phones to operate a transformation aimed at providing advanced services that meet the growing needs of customers in this age of mobility,” said Zhang Tong, general manager of TransWiseway. Once operational the IOV platform will also allow access via the Cloud system, the analysis of the development of sensors for applications such as real-time navigation, vehicle maintenance and security warnings to the driver that will improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
