CHINA: SATELLITE LAUNCHED SINO-BRAZILIAN

A fifth Sino-Brazilian satellite, designed primarily for monitoring deforestation in the Amazon, was successfully launched today from China. Reports were the state media.
The launch of CBERS-4 took place at 11:26 local time (04:26 in Italy) from the base Taiyuan, Shanxi province (north), and “has been placed in the orbit planned,” indicated the ‘China’s official news agency.
