LEMONS FOR HARRY AND MEGHAN CAKE ARRIVE FROM AMALFI COAST

200 Amalfi lemons: these are the ones used for the wedding cake of Harry and Meghan prepared by Claire Ptak of the Violet Bakery, the pastry shop of the East London chosen by Royal Family for the wedding.
The presence of our excellence, the choice of the famous Amalfi lemons for the wedding cake of Harry and Meghan is proof of the appreciation of the Made in Italy agro-food by the British, as noted by Coldiretti – Campagna Amica. These famous citrus fruits are produced on a territory of 400 hectares in the municipalities of Amalfi, Atrani, Cetara, Conca dei Marini, Furore, Maiori, Minori, Positano, Praiano, Ravello, Scala, Tramonti and Vietri sul Mare with a harvest of nearly 100 thousand tons per year for an ancient production of over a thousand years. It is in fact in the eleventh century that along the Amalfi coast appear the lemon groves, renamed “gardens” for their care and beauty, very useful to protect the territory from hydrogeological instability
