SMARTPHONE : THE TOP 10 Canalys FIVE CHINESE ARE PRODUCERS

According to the latest report prepared by analysts at Canalys , five of the top 10 smartphone manufacturers are Chinese . The figures for the first quarter of this year , also said that 35% of products sold in the world were purchased by Chinese consumers , followed by the Americans with 12%.

Speaking of manufacturers , Huawei is the third largest in the world , followed by Lenovo, fourth , sixth Xiaomi , Yulong and ZTE eighth to ninth . Samsung and Apple are confirmed first and second, but for how long?

Not for any shortcomings of the brand, mind you, but more than anything else to territorial issues . If the United States sells half of smartphone that is sold in China market if possible even more protectionist American , what can you expect from a 35 % share in the likely growth?

In total in the first quarter of 2014 were 279.4 million smartphones sold , for an increase of 29 % compared to the same quarter of 2013 and a slight decrease (-5 %) compared to the previous quarter , the purchasing of Christmas, historically the more fruitful .

81% of Android devices are sold , 16% and 3% of iOS Windows Phone. Samsung, as mentioned, is first with 31 % share, Apple has 16% of Chinese and follow the platoon .

The reason for the strong growth of Chinese brands is , of course, due to the 35% of products sold only in China . In particular, it is almost 100 million ( 97.5 ) parts , 3% less than in the holiday quarter . According to analysts, the impressive growth of the Chinese market will not stop easily. The next market drivers , as they say , will be the LTE or 4G networks , push led by China Mobile, the biggest operator , which has every incentive to migrate 70 % of its customers who still use at least 2G to 3G .

In particular, Xiaomi , which is now in third place among the leading vendors in their own country , only a year ago was a little-known brand in China. Now, however , 97% of its smartphones are sold in China, worth a bit ‘ too high. ZTE , Huawei and Lenovo , however, said they , respectively, 43% , 40% and 15% of their devices are sold outside China, confirming the validity of their investment policies in the rest of the world.
